Squarespace has evolved into an excellent solution for small and medium-sized businesses, artists of many types, and smaller nonprofits. It is a powerful site builder with some very smart hooks, a few great plugins. Simple and yet not simple. Unlike WordPress it is easy to configure and customize different types of internal pages and it boasts a pretty decent blog and events calendar. We use it as a default for more static sites.
